Bridle Path Pattern of the Week from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

 Hello Everyone,

My pattern of the week is Bridle Path and is on sale in my Etsy shop HERE.

This quilt hangs proudly in our cabin bedroom; a space I lovingly call the Hearthstone Room. Every quilt you see here was made with fabric from my Hearthstone line from Marcus Fabrics—a collection that holds a special place in my heart as it was my first fabric line.  Laurel Ridge, the 2025 BOM for The Quilt Show is hanging on the wall on the left.  Double Dutch Treat is next to it. Emilie Elizabeth gifted to me by my dear ...

COUNTRY COURTHOUSE - Pattern of the Week from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

 Hello Everyone,

If it's Sunday, it must be the unveiling of my Pattern of the Week!  This week the featured pattern is Country Courthouse

This is the perfect stash-busting quilt if you have a lot of scraps in your stash.

I cut hundreds, no thousands of 1" strips for this quilt.

Years ago, Mr. Joe was making and selling these handy dandy Strip'n Sews. I had been using a pasta dryer to display all of my 1" fabric strips.  He decided he could make something much more substantial, and he gave it 'stadium seating' so I could easily ...

Pattern of the Week - Christmas Ribbons from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

 Hello Everyone,

Since it's Sunday, it must be time to post my pattern of the week offered in my Etsy shop for a 10% discount!  This week I'm featuring Christmas Ribbons.

This was the first time I did curved crosshatching on my longarm.

The flange in the border can be optional.  I think it sets the border off so nicely.

The quilt finishes at 62" x 62", and the blocks are 10" finished.

It also looks great in non-Christmas fabrics too.

You could just call it Ribbons!

Snowed In is here! from Trends and Traditions

Hello and Happy Summer! I hope you are all doing well since my last check in. Life has been very busy here with the kids, sports, friends, the end of school and trying to meet all of my work deadlines. I thought I would pop in quick to tell you about a couple of those work related things.

First of all, my Snowed In collection with Riley Blake Designs is hitting stores now! It was such a fun line to create and I’m really excited to have a holiday/winter line out again. It feels like it’s been ...

The featured fabric is my Shades of Summer collection from Riley Blake Designs that came out last summer. You can pick up ...

Trendy Table 3 Preview from Trends and Traditions

Hello and Happy New Year!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, but I have a new book that came out a couple weeks ago that I want to share.  If you follow me on Instagram (where I post on a regular basis), you have already seen it – but for those of you who aren’t Instagrammers, I thought I would share the new stuff here too.

The book is called Trendy Table 3, so it’s part of my series of table runner books.  The first Trendy Table book is out of print, so I needed ...

Ideas for Wildflower Boutique Fabrics from Trends and Traditions

My newest fabric line, Wildflower Boutique arrived in stores about a month ago and I am behind in telling you about it.  I meant to let you all know sooner, but with the new booklet coming out, getting ready for market, attending Garden of Quilts, etc, I am finally catching up on my to-do list!

In the meantime, the main prints from the line sold out quickly, followed by the rest of the line – But the good news is it is being reprinted!  The next printing will arrive about a month from now.  And just to explain that a little ...

Wildflower Sampler Preview – Part 2 from Trends and Traditions

First of all, thank you to everyone that entered the giveaway for the newest booklet, Wildflower Sampler.  The randomly selected winner is:

Sheri Zaugg

Please email your shipping info to me at hmulder@wecnet.com and I will get it shipped out right away.

Next, I wanted to answer a couple of questions that people had from the last post.  Several of you asked about the construction – if everything was pieced or if anything was appliqued.  Everything is pretty easy to assemble and is made with straight seams and lots of folded corners.  There is no applique and there are ...
